Dawn & Ryan invited me to photograph their wedding at the stunning Ocean Edge Resort in Cape Cod They had perfect light with sunbeams bursting through the clouds during their beach ceremony. Dawn must really love her friends because she put them in super cute black bridesmaids dresses that I actually think the ladies could wear again! (So cliche, but it’s true!) Dawn is soooo sweet and Ryan cracks me up. These two were totally down to earth and totally into each other. Makes my job fun!

Nancy & Andrew were married at Emmanuel Church, had their formals done at Rosecliff Mansion and had their reception at the Newport Yachting Center. Nancy is a super sweet bride. The minute I met Nancy and her mom, I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding. We had a great meeting and a super fun wedding! I love doing military weddings!

Andrea & Larry are photographers. They met and graduated from the same photography school I attended, the Hallmark Institute of Photography. I must say, their wedding was a first for me on many aspects: I’d never photographed a wedding in New York City. I’d never photographed a wedding on a ship. I’d never photographed a wedding for a pair of photographers. (I’ve done weddings were 1 person in the couple is a photographer, but never both) I’d also never photographed a couple who got ready in the same hotel room. (At REAL special moment for me!!!) I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t a bit on edge about all these new things, but I was thrilled and excited all at the same time! So THANK YOU Andi & Larry for having me! It’s truly a COMPLIMENT when not one but TWO photographers ask you to photograph their day 3 states away. I can’t wait to put together your album!

Andi’s mom got Andi & Larry these custom bobble-head dolls made in their likeness. They even match Andi’s bouquet perfectly!

This was a first for me! Andi & Larry got ready in the same hotel room together just steps away from Rockefeller Center. SUCH A GREAT MOMENT!

Did I tell you the wedding was on a ship? We were cruising the Hudson River during the ceremony!

I’m just proving I was in NYC for a wedding. My Rhode Island friends won’t believe me!!!

Anyone that reads my blog knows I never, ever blog family formals. Not because I don’t take family pictures, or not because I don’t like family pictures. It’s just because looking at a bunch of other people’s family portraits aren’t exactly exciting, unless you personally know the people in the picture. However, these might just be the COOLEST family pictures I’ve ever taken!!!! I mean, WHO gets family pictures with all of the New York City skyline in the background???

Whenever I see my couple sneaking out for a “moment”, I always follow them with my big long zoom lens to capture their moment (as sneakily as possible!). I LOVE this photograph and it really captures Andi & Larry. They are totally in love and into each other!
