month: March 2010
Abbie came in for her senior portrait in January and braved the 30 degree weather as I toured us all through my favorite city locations. She was a real trooper! It was like behind the scene of America’s Next Top Model….I’d photograph her, and then she’d pull on a coat as we went to the next spot. You can’t really tell it was January from her expressions! Thanks for having me, Abbie!

Here is Kim & Bill’s 12×12 album preview. I can’t wait to see this in person! Their reception (with the thanks of Those Guys ) ROCKED! Their reception spreads are so fun and full of vibrant energy. Thank you for having me!
I’d like to share this article I came across today with both my vendor friends and any bride out there who is looking for a photographer. I know how expensive weddings can get. I understand that. I think these days, weddings are too much about the “show” and impressing everyone with the most expensive venue you can get, 6 hours of open bar, $300/plate meals, etc. Please consider this: What good is the $50k venue with crap-tastic pictures? What good is $5k worth of uplighting if your photographer doesn’t have the skill to photograph it properly?
Photography is a gift you give yourself and your future legacy. It’s cliche, but true: Photo & Video is the only thing left. Shouldn’t a real value be placed on that? I like to think so. And I think AFTER the wedding, a bride will understand the true value of what a skilled professional photographer did for her, her husband, her family and her legacy.
