month: May 2009

Here is a quick note I just received from Sarah:

“Faith,
Oh my god!!! I LOVE them!!!!!
Thank you so much - now I’m even more excited to have you be a part of our wedding.”

(her engagement pictures are just below this post)

Sarah and her fiance, Ben and I are now bonded. I’m not the strange photographer vendor anymore. They know me, and they know what to expect from me on their wedding day. Plus, they now have some beautiful art of themselves. Many times, I get emails from potential couples wanting to swap out the engagement session for something else from the wedding. I highly discourage this because I want us to spend some time together before the wedding!! This is important and it’s why I include an engagement session with EVERY wedding collection.

While we are on the topic of engagements, if you are a 2009 bride and you haven’t done your e-pics yet, email me!!!!! I have very few weekend appointments left, so you want to get in the book now. 2010 brides, I’ll take you now too! Don’t wait til a month before your wedding to get your pictures done. The sooner, the better.

I loved Sarah’s outfit! Navy blue & yellow are my favorite colors to pair. (well besides my business colors–navy blue & hot pink!) Sarah & Ben are getting married this fall at the Viking Hotel! I’m very excited!!

I love spring engagement sessions!!! Natonya & Andrew are getting married in their homestate of Pennsylvania soon, but they want their pictures done in Newport. We did my spring flower tour!

Meaghan & Keith were married at St. Mary’s in Bristol and had their reception at the Newport Hyatt Regency Hotel. Such a great party! I loved the colors Meg picked. I posted her slideshow below this post if you’d like to see more! The more, the better, right???

“Hi Faith,
You did a fantastic job!!!! Thank you so much. You captured the day beautifully. I love the pictures of Meg and her dad when he first saw her. I have been looking at the pictures since I received the email. Thanks again you were delightful and oh so talented.” -Geri, Mother of the Bride

STONEBLOSSOM!!!!!! Love, love, love!

A cool angle from the second floor of the suite….

A few bridal portraits before we go:

Hair by the Hyatt Spa:

The running joke here is that Stoneblossom’s bridal bouquets are so heavy, you can beat someone with them like a baseball bat!

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! This is Meg seeing her dad for the first time. Check out the bridesmaid’s reaction in the background as well. This is a great moment & I’m so happy to capture it for Meg & her family! I would want this photo-series of me & my dad if I was a bride.
Cool lines as we leave for the ceremony

St. Mary’s Church in Bristol, GORGEOUS!

Having a moment at the altar…

Joking about the kiss!

A beautiful moment of Meg’s parents during the ceremony

I love the greeting part of the ceremony–I can capture such great emotions. Here’s Meg hugging her parents during the ceremony

The priest at St. Mary’s is so cool! He let me stand up front to photograph the couple with the whole church behind them. This is very rare for a priest to allow this…not something I do normally, unless the church invites me first.

LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!

All the girls huddled together outside the church staying warm.

Meg & her mom laughing during formals…

Working the European architecture!

Another bride with a cathedral length veil…my favorite veil besides birdcage!

Meg’s mom did the centerpieces. Nice job, Geri!!!

Another great family moment–Meg and her dad.

I think the “Grease” song was playing…Victor from Partytime DJ kept it rocking all night!

Meg hugging her one of her brothers goodbye as her parents look on.
